ANTHEM: Redesigning the platform. Rethinking the experience.
(UX & UI DESIGN)
Anthem’s Workers’ Compensation platform connects payors and healthcare providers in a dynamic, open-market system—allowing providers to register their services, bid for new opportunities, and manage care for injured workers at scale.
I was brought in to lead the creative and art direction for a full UX/UI redesign across desktop and mobile, with the goal of making the platform more intuitive, more engaging, and more human.
The Approach
We reimagined the experience around clarity and ease of use, especially for healthcare providers navigating registration workflows and injured workers who may not be tech-savvy or familiar with platform-based tools.
For providers, we introduced a gamified onboarding system that let users register business locations, list services, and begin bidding on contracts—turning a traditionally dry process into something more dynamic and user-friendly.
For injured workers, we simplified language, optimized layouts, and designed a visual system that felt supportive, clean, and approachable—tailored to an audience that may be dealing with high stress or low digital fluency.
The final product balanced design clarity with user empathy—and helped Anthem evolve how healthcare providers and patients engage with its services in the digital space.
