Hi, my name is Mattia Olivotti—though most people call me Matt on this side of the world. I’m a creative leader born and raised in Rome, who’s passionate about crafting brand experiences that connect with people on a visceral level.


I believe design and creative work are the closest things to art in the professional world—and like art, they have the power to move people, shape culture, and drive meaningful impact. I’m drawn to work that’s smart, emotionally resonant, and strategically grounded. But what excites me as much as the work is the people behind it. I’m an empathetic, hands-on leader who loves to empower teams to find their voice and push boundaries to do their best work.

I started my career in New York, wearing many hats across several branding, marketing, and advertising agencies shaping work for global brands. That early range helped build my creative instincts and fluency in everything from brand platforms and messaging strategy to integrated campaigns and design systems. The other half of my career, I’ve spent leading in-house creative teams, scaling capabilities, driving vision, and translating strategy into creative that resonates across every touchpoint.

When I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me traveling with my camera, designing, reading, and doing anything that can keeps me creatively engaged and inspired.

I love every aspect of the creative process: from the first rough ideas to the final polish. I lead from within, not above—working alongside my team when needed to remove roadblocks, provide further guidance, or pitch in when bandwidth is tight.

Great ideas can come from anywhere, so I make space for large brainstorms that invite broad participation, and small working sessions that sharpen the details. I believe my job is to help shape good ideas into great ones, guide the not-quite-there ones into something that works, and to leave the great ideas alone.

I tailor my leadership style to meet each person where they are at, because everyone thrives differently. I praise in public, coach in private, and always lead with care.
